An Exhibition Trail and Auction Lake Placid Center for the Arts June 1-September 14, 2002 91 Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, NY 12946 Phone: (518) 523-2512 Open: Tues.-Sat. 1-5pm The Lake Placid Center for the Arts celebrates 30 years in the Adirondacks with an innovative art exhibition. Adirondack Art Chairs: An Exhibition Trail & Auction has been on display at 38 sites throughout the North Country. This special exhibition features 38 Adirondack Chairs, each transformed by the talent of a regional artist. Supplies were generously donated by Haselton Lumber, and the chairs constructed by the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora. Each chair is sponsored by a community member or area business. The chairs can be seen at their 38 sites until August 28. They will be on view at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts September 4-14. The chairs will be sold by silent auction.
