Dan Rather Stoned in East Berlin

Dan Rather, CBS television reporter, was hit in the head with a small stone, thrown by Communist protesters as President Nixon's motorcade passed by the Kufurstendam area in Berlin, 27 February 1969. Rather was riding beside Grandy on one of the photo trucks which preceded Nixon's car.
