Carrier Silhouettes: Crew on Carrier Forrestal

Crew members ran across the deck of the aircraft carrier Forrestal of the Mediterranean Sixth Fleet to recover a Skyhawk in the sunset after a mission at sea. The aircraft, landing just 45 seconds apart, were quickly disarmed and parked in order to clear the deck for 27-some planes used on each mission. 17 April 1970.
