Greg Warner Joins the Staff of NCPR (1/31/05)

North Country Public Radio welcomes Greg Warner to the News Staff as reporter and All Things Considered host. "Through an extensive regional and national search, we are so pleased to welcome Greg to the NCPR staff. He joins us with a track record of exceptional work for a number of national producers. We look forward to having Greg become our weekday evening voice, and to bringing listeners news, features and special stories later in the broadcast day--balancing the regional hour heard weekday mornings at 8:00,” said station manager Ellen Rocco.

Greg has a degree in English from Yale University, and learned the radio craft at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, in Portland, Maine. He has narrated and produced stories for This American Life, Studio 360, The Infinite Mind, and other national radio shows. He has also produced award-winning films for the web; two of his films were recently featured in a 12-city tour as part of the 2005 Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival. "It's great to be part of a station that has such high journalistic standards, a top-notch national reputation, and at the same time, such a comfortable community radio feel,” says Warner.
