North Country Public Radio will host a presentation featuring

Indonesian journalist Munarsih Sahana

Ms. Sahana will show slides of Indonesia, talk about the current state of the media in her country, and offer an informal demonstration of Balinese dance. The event is free and open to all. Ms. Sahana is a Humphrey Scholar, studying at the University of Maryland. Her week-long visit to the North Country is a result of an ongoing exchange between NCPR and Developing Radio Partners, an organization that works to build vibrant, participatory communities internationally, through the development of financially and editorially independent media services with a focus on community radio.

Folk legend Tom Rush's impact on the American music scene has been profound. He helped shape the folk revival in the '60s and the renaissance of the '80s and '90s. James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Tom Petty and Garth Brooks have cited Tom as major influences. More information.
