About the Contest
Every two years North Country Public Radio and the
Adirondack Center for Writing offer cash awards in a contest for the best new writing by authors of the region. For each contest two genre are selected, with prizes awarded in each genre, and in each of two age groups, 12-20 years, and 21 years and older.
Judging is done by a panel of regional editors and writers. The winning authors for the 2007-2008 contest are featured below. The text of the winning entries will be available shortly. The 2009-2010 contest is still in the planning stage. Genre, judges, submission guidelines and deadlines are yet to be determined.
