Digging Up History From The Depths of Lake Champlain

In October of 1776, Benedict Arnold led a small flotilla of gunboats up the shore of Lake Champlain. The British were sailng southward, hoping to use their freshwater navy to divide the American colonies in half. In the battle at Valcour Island, Arnold inflicted enough damage that the British invasion was delayed. Now, a group of amateur divers and archeologists is exploring the battle site. As Brian Mann reports, they're using modern forensic techniques to dig up new clues about the men who fought and died in the battle.
