Nov 03, 2004 — A bitter race for the 114th assembly district ended with harsh words last night from both candidates. Incumbent Republican Chris Ortloff declared victory and slammed the state Democratic Party for working to unseat him. But Challenger Bernie Bassett refused to concede defeat until absentee ballots are tallied. Brian Mann reports.

113th District Update: As expected the assembly race in the 113th assembly district was a blow-out. Incumbent Republican Teresa Sayward defeated Democrat Dennis Tarantino by a nearly 2-to-1 margin.
