SLU students use solar glasses to view sunspots.
A photo of the Sun and it's current spots from "spaceweather.com"
Clear skies recently have allowed some great star gazing, night and day. There was a fairly large sunspot visible on the sun Friday. Sharp-eyed viewers could see it with the unaided eye, wearing appropriate solar glasses. The celestial event drew an occasional crowd of students and passersby to a telescope with a solar filter set up at St. Lawrence University's science building.
