Mar 09, 2007 — It's a dream weekend for North Country hockey fans. The Canton Golden Bears high school team plays in the state semifinal tomorrow in Utica. The St. Lawrence University women's team is fighting for a berth in the NCAA Frozen Four in New Hampshire. And for the first time since 2001, St. Lawrence and Clarkson are both hosting men's ECAC quarterfinal series starting tonight. Two of the most watched people at the rinks in Canton and Potsdam don't skate. They drive one of the most beloved icons of the North: the zamboni.
