For most of us, fall is a time to plant some bulbs, put up the storm windows, and stock up on wood or oil for the deep winter ahead. For North Country Public Radio, and especially for our intrepid engineer Radio Bob Sauter, fall is the time to batten down the hatches on our network of 21 radio transmitters. You know, that laundry list of stations – WSLU, WSLJ, WXLG, WXLH, and so on. It’s an equipment-hauling, mountain-climbing job. A couple weeks ago David Sommerstein joined Radio Bob for a special radio expedition up Blue Mountain.
