All the granite used to build Dark Island's castle came from nearby Oak Island in Chippewa Bay. As with most of the castle, the entrance hall is furnished with antique furniture, much of it original from when Frederick Bourne summered here. A wine cellar (and access to the secret spiral staircase) is just off the entrance hall. Real estate agent for the castle, Glenn Gould, describes the hall.
