Cuomo challenges NY to notice Adirondacks

Governor Andrew Cuomo led rafts full of politicians, journalists and business leaders down a wild stretch of the Indian River Sunday.

His "Adirondack Challenge" was designed to draw attention to the tourism potential of upstate New York.

It was also part of Cuomo's pledge to help turn wild lands in the Adirondacks -- including a new $50 million expansion of the Park's "forever wild" forest preserve -- into an economic engine for local businesses and communities.  Go to full article
