Peace
activists in 1029 locations in 59 countries gathered on March 3, 2003
to perform dramatic readings of the ancient Greek antiwar comedy Lysistrata,
written by Aristophanes, that tells the story of a group of women from
opposing states who unite to end the Peloponnesian War. In Canton, the
reading was at the Unitarian-Universalist Church. Todd Moe talked to Lysistrata
reader and NCPR theatre critic Connie Meng before the reading. Listen
