Lake Placid, NY, Feb 18, 2014 — Over the last couple of months, our Adironadack bureau chief Brian Mann has been focusing a lot of his attention on the Winter Olympics in Sochi. He's interviewed remarkable athletes and seen amazing feats of strength and speed and courage.
Through all of that reporting, Brian says Sunday's remarkable silver medal win for Andrew Weibrecht stands out. Weibrecht's trip to the podium came after years of struggle and illness and defeat.

Sochi, , Feb 18, 2014 — The US ski jumping team failed to advance last night in Sochi. It was the final event of these Olympics for Saranac Lake jumper Peter Frenette, who said he was frustrated by his performance.
"I came here expecting to compete well and didn't really do that but I made it here and had fun. I'm at the Olympics having a good time. It's a great accomplishment just to make it, so got to remember that." Go to full article
