Aug 28, 2014 — For some teenagers it's been a summer of camp counseling, babysitting, or mowing lawns. An Ontario teen is finding out food can be a direct path to some extra spending money. Uninterested in the typical summer jobs, 15-year-old Wilson Burton-Fox, of Prescott, says he and a friend tossed around ideas for employment and decided to pool their savings to buy a hot-dog vending cart.
He's spent the last few months selling hot-dogs and sausages along Prescott's waterfront to passing boaters, tourists, and a hungry theater crowd before a show at the nearby St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival.
Burton-Fox told Todd Moe he wants to join the Royal Canadian Air Force after high school. But even so, he says spending this summer outside socializing at the marina and selling sausages has been worth it. Go to full article
