New Immigration Laws: Confusion and Crowding at Shelters in Plattsburgh

Changes in Canadian immigration laws are causing nearly 100 refugees to take up temporary housing at the Plattsburgh Salvation Army. Immigrants from across the world are being turned away at the border and give appointments to come back to apply for entry at a later date. For some, that could mean a couple of weeks in the shelter. Canada Day Marks Start of Busy Week on the St. Lawrence
