The Boston Globe's got a fascinating, quick slideshow called "Use Your Illusion," about some of the actual magic tricks the CIA used during the Cold War.

Weirdly, it makes me want to incorporate some of these tactics for covert information exchanges about Christmas gifts, and the smuggling of packages into my tiny condo. "Appearing a little dumb can be the deceiver's best friend..."
