Jun 21, 2010 — With the confirmation hearings on Elena Kagan's nomination for the Supreme Court commending on Monday, the deadline to send your prediction on the final Senate vote is Friday, June 25.The Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for the nomination of Solicitor General Elena Kagan to be an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court begin on Monday, June 28.
And you know what that means: The deadline to enter your guess on the final full Senate tally on Kagan's confirmation is this Friday, June 25. You must send in your prediction by 5 p.m. on that day.
The first person with the exact accurate Senate tally will win a Geraldine Ferraro for Congress button from her first campaign in 1978. With Obama naming two women to the court, the prize of a Ferraro button — herself a trailblazer for women — makes sense. Plus, I have an extra one right in front of me.
