Pelley starts on June 6.CBS News confirmed this morning that longtime correspondent Scott Pelley will take over the anchor's chair on the CBS Evening News, starting June 6.
He'll replace Katie Couric, who late last month announced she wouldn't be staying with the show beyond the end of her current contract.
Pelley will continue to report on 60 Minutes.
