Mar 16, 2012 — Listen to one of the best voices in bluegrass perform live on Mountain Stage. The Charlie Sizemore Band On Mountain Stage
Charlie Sizemore, one of bluegrass music's most distinctive and expressive vocalists, is also recognized as one of its most literate and thoughtful songwriters. Based in Nashville, where he runs a successful law practice, Sizemore balances his career as a lawyer, family man and bluegrass singer.
A clear, crisp tenor, Sizemore spent nine years as a singer for Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys, directly following in the footsteps of country star Keith Whitley. Sizemore's set includes the lighthearted "No Lawyers in Heaven" and "Alison's Band," wherein he laments being unable to convince Ms. Krauss to hire him. The tune spent several weeks atop the Bluegrass Unlimited's Top 30 Single Chart.
Sizemore's set is followed by the Mountain Stage band's Julie Adams singing "How Long Blues."
