Dec 2, 2011 — If you ever wonder whether you should mention earworms to Twitter, take our advice: you should not.Last night, while enjoying a little TV with NPR Music's Stephen Thompson, I noticed that he was subjecting me — as well as his innocent seven-year-old child — to an unceasing performance of Rihanna's latest single, "We Found Love."
Naturally, rather than tell him to stop, I chose to take this up with Twitter.
What I did not anticipate was that this would quickly degenerate into The Great Earworm Battle Of 2011, which was brief but intense, and which convinced me that the people of Twitter cannot be trusted.
