Perhaps you caught our video webcast last night with drummer Kendrick "KADS" Scott and his band, produced for us by WBGO. If you missed it, hear it here.

Scott is a drummer of highest regard among many these days. He's also a composer with a band he calls Oracle, and he's preparing to release a new album called Conviction. Last night's set spotlighted his creative vision — mostly KADS originals, with a Sufjan Stevens tune in the mix too.

But for all the new-school vibe, cats can play standards too. WBGO producer Josh Jackson leaves us with this little treat, a trio recording of "Body And Soul" from the second set (which wasn't broadcast live). John Ellis on tenor sax! I'm already destroyed before the melody begins.
