Four years ago, three young, African-American men promised to help each other beat the odds and make it through med school. Today, the three men are doctors, and they have made a new pact: to reconnect with their fathers, and forgive them.

Their new book, The Bond, details the doctors' experiences growing up without father figures and their persisting belief in the bond between father and son.

Guests:

Dr. Sampson Davis, emergency medicine physician at St. Michael's Medical Center, Raritan Bay Medical Center and Easton Hospital; co-author of The Bond

Dr. George Jenkins, assistant professor of clinical dentistry at Columbia University; co-author of The Bond

Dr. Rameck Hunt, assistant professor of medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; internist at University Medical Center at Princeton; co-author of The Bond
