Parts Of Immigration Law Blocked, But Core Remains

Jun 25, 2012 (All Things Considered) — The Supreme Court has overturned most of Arizona's restrictive immigration law, while upholding a key "show me your papers" provision. And it warned that it plans to construe that provision narrowly. The ruling was 5-3; Justice Elena Kagan recused herself from the Arizona case.
