2012 Nobel Peace Prize Goes To European Union

Oct 12, 2012 (Morning Edition) — The Norwegian Nobel Committee has awarded its Peace Prize to the European Union -- a decision that came as a surprise to many. The committee said it was an award that was long overdue, considering the E.U.'s role in advancing peace since World War II.
