Dec 9, 2012 (Weekend Edition Sunday) — Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. announced several big changes for the company last week. Among them, the closing of The Daily, a digital-only publication designed exclusively for tablets and smartphones. In a statement, Murdoch said "we could not find a large enough audience quickly enough to convince us the business model was sustainable in the long term."
