Congress Approves Nearly $10 Billion In Superstorm Sandy Aid

Jan 4, 2013 (All Things Considered) — Congress approved $9.7 billion in flood insurance funding to help victims of Hurricane Sandy on Friday. The money initially got caught up in the fiscal cliff drama, and the bill was never considered. House Speaker John Boehner promised to New York and New Jersey delegations to make it right.
