Jan 6, 2013 (All Things Considered) — On January 14, 1973, Elvis Presley made history as the first solo entertainer to hold a live concert broadcast internationally via satellite. More than a billion people from more than 40 countries across Asia and Europe tuned in to watch "Aloha from Hawaii." Weekends on All Things Considered host Jacki Lyden talks to Elvis aficionados, including fans who witnessed the rock 'n' roll king when he took the crown to be a true worldwide phenomenon.
