What Visa Changes Say About U.S. Immigration Priorities

May 5, 2013 (Weekend Edition Sunday) — The immigration overhaul bill currently circulating around the Senate would scrap a two-decade old program that distributes diversity visas to countries with historically-low rates of immigration to the U.S. But it would also introduce the merit-based visa, given to those with a job and high-level education.
