Remembering My Youth, Through Baseball

Oct 21, 2005 (News & Notes ) — On the the eve of the MLB World Series, commentator Mark Anthony Neal recalls his first experience with the game at age 5 -- and how, decades later, watching baseball has become one of the ways he remembers his youth. Neal is an associate professor with the Department of African and African-American Studies at Duke University and author of New Black Man: Rethinking Black Masculinity.
