"[This book is a] fascinating, highly readable historical novel involving heretofore untold viewpoints of the civil rights era. Especially interesting in this year of honoring Rosa Parks. The diverse, quirky, sometimes funny characters spend a summer at the Highlander Folk School (where Parks & Martin Luther King, Jr. first received civil rights training). A new look at a familiar subject.
