Jan 23, 2013 — Farmers in the Southeast had accused their own food cooperative, the Dairy Farmers of America, of striking a deal that created a milk monopoly and suppressed the price paid for raw milk. In settling the case, the cooperative said it did nothing wrong.
Apr 1, 2013 — The U.S. Court of Appeals in New York ruled 2-to-1 that Barry Diller-backed Aereo doesn't violate U.S. copyright law. The company has come under a barrage of lawsuits from network channels because it allows users to watch TV over the Internet.

Oct 3, 2011 — An Italian panel has granted Amanda Knox's appeal of her murder conviction, for which the American had been serving a 26-year prison sentence. Knox, who came to Perugia, Italy, as an exchange student, had been found guilty in the November 2007 murder of British student Meredith Kercher.

Oct 26, 2010 — An accused murderer representing himself in court was testing the accuracy of a witness's memory when the tactic backfired. The witness, a part-time artist, said she recognized suspected killer Melvin Forte's face from the area of the crime scene.
