Gary Johnson
Oct 19, 2012 — Third-party candidates could end up affecting the outcome of the presidential race, as Ralph Nader did in Florida in 2000. Libertarian Gary Johnson could siphon votes away from both candidates in several battleground states, and the Constitution Party's Virgil Goode could make a difference in Virginia.
Oct 6, 2012 — To this day, getting a third-party candidate into a presidential debate is practically impossible. So we invited two of the third-party candidates — Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Jill Stein from the Green Party — to a debate of our own.
Sep 26, 2012 — Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson will be on the ballot in November in at least 47 states. The former Republican governor of New Mexico isn't likely to win any of them. But he just might siphon off enough votes from one of the other candidates to affect the outcome.
Jun 21, 2012 — You might think the presidential race is settled with two candidates. But there's one candidate you might not have heard much about. Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson is running for president on the Libertarian Party ticket. Johnson speaks with host Michel Martin about his policies and the challenges he has getting his message heard.
May 6, 2012 — Somewhere on the path to the White House this year, a powerful set of ideas began to creep into the mainstream debate over which direction the country will take. These are ideas that not too long ago were written off as marginal, or even worse, a little kooky. Now Libertarian ideals are becoming more mainstream and are influencing the Republican Party.
May 6, 2012 — The Libertarian Party held its convention in Las Vegas over the weekend, choosing a presidential and vice-presidential nominee. NPR's David Welna reports that it came as no surprise that the Libertarian Party put Gary Johnson at the top of its ticket.
Dec 30, 2011 — Robert Siegel speaks with Gary Johnson, former governor of New Mexico. He tells Robert why he decided to end his GOP presidential bid and instead seek the Libertarian nomination for president.
Sep 23, 2011 — Republican presidential candidate Gary Johnson's joke about his neighbors' two dogs creating more shovel-ready jobs than the Obama administration has is at least 21 years old (in dog years.) It actually seems to date back two human years.

May 20, 2011 — It's hard to get noticed in the field of potential Republican presidential candidates, so we've invited the former governor of New Mexico to play a game called "All you've got to do is put out a viral video or a sex tape. Simple!" Three questions about people who got really famous really fast.
