Earthquake Rattles North Country

A moderate earthquake hit the north country on Saturday, damaging churches, cracking foundations, and shattering storefront windows. The tremor and two long aftershocks did the most damage in Clinton County, fifteen miles southwest of Plattsburgh. Brian Mann toured the area and has this report.  Go to full article

President Plans Visit to North Country for Earth Day

The North Country's Congressional delegation says President George Bush will visit the Adirondacks on Monday. The Earth Day visit comes just two weeks after the Bush Administration unveiled a new "Clear Skies" program designed to help reduce acid rain.
