New York's National Guard, pt. 1: Training For Iraq

More than 650 members of New York's National Guard are training at Fort Drum Army base near Watertown. They're preparing to become full-time soldiers for a year in Iraq. It's the first time the New York National Guard has been activated for wartime service since World War II. Many of the Guardsmen are from North Country towns, from Massena and Ogdensburg to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. NY Nat'l Guard Reservists Bound for Iraq
