NASCAR drivers return to bobsled track

NASCAR drivers will once again test their skills on Lake Placid's Olympic bobsled track this weekend for the 2nd annual Geoff Bodine Bobsled Challenge. The event is to raise money and publicity for the U.S. Bobsled Team. Bodine's raised more than a million dollars to help make better sleds with American technology. A Year on the Farm #1: milking, feeding, and bedding

The North Country used to be a region of dairy farmers. Northern New York has lost hundreds of dairy farms since the 1980s. Still, dairy remains the biggest industry here and the cow remains a potent symbol. But fewer people know what dairy farming is all about. In 2006, David Sommerstein spent time on Bob Andrews' farm near Gouverneur, sending a monthly story about life in the barn, in the fields, and in the farmhouse. Every Monday starting this morning, we'll take another listen to the Year on the Farm series. Today...the basic chores that go on year-round - milking, feeding, and bedding.  Go to full article
