Morristown teen is finalist in national music contest
Dec 10, 2007 — A Morristown 16-year-old is a finalist in a national contest of singer/songwriters. Macy VanArnam was one of 64 young performers chosen from 700 entries to Country Music Television's "Music City Madness" competition. In online voting over the past two months, Macy's beaten them all, except one, another teenaged girl in Utah. The final vote will be tallied tomorrow. The winner goes to Nashville to play on a CMT show and in front of music executives in hopes of scoring a record contract. As Jonathan Brown reports, Macy's trying to keep her newfound fame in perspective.
