Jan 03, 2008 — Snow has steadily been blanketing the North Country over the last few weeks, making this winter season a busy one so far for highway crews and plow drivers. The cost of snow removal has been taxing the overtime budgets of local governments, and has led to complaints from residents in at least one community, Saranac Lake, where the village's crews have been struggling to dig out all the sidewalks and side-streets.
