Mar 20, 2008 — David Paterson broke ground when he became New York's first African American and legally blind governor. The people who run the newsstand at the state Capitol, just one floor down from the new governor's offices, took special note. They are visually impaired and are encouraged that Paterson has demonstrated what can be achieved. Karen DeWitt reports.
