APA approves North Creek resort, but Tupper Lake project faces more hearings
Apr 14, 2008 — On Friday, the Adirondack Park Agency gave the green light to a massive new resort development for North Creek. Construction of a hotel and townhouses could begin as early as this summer. When completed, the Front Street Mountain resort will have more than a hundred luxury condos and homes, a golf course, restaurants, a riding stable, and three hotels. The project will be tied closely with the Gore Mountain Ski area, where New York state plans to invest millions of dollars upgrading the lodge and slopes. As Brian Mann reports, another big resort project in Tupper Lake faces a very different future, with more environmental hearings slated for this week.
