Grasse River Heritage park opens Sunday

Listen to this story
A new interpretive park in downtown Canton opens to the public this weekend. The Grasse River Heritage Corporation has spent ten years turning a historic industrial site on the river into a place to enjoy nature. The goal has been to improve the natural, historic and cultural value of islands on the Grasse River. Todd Moe toured the new downtown waterfront heritage park with Grasse River Heritage Corporation board president Peter Wyckoff on the 100-foot boardwalk that overlooks the northern end of Falls Island. The grand opening is Sunday at 2pm.
