Jun 10, 2008 — Canton's Rotary Club awarded Ambassadorial Scholarships to two St. Lawrence University graduates this week. The scholarships went to Katie Gauthier and Brooke James. A third scholarship went to Kate Bakelaar of Ottawa. Rotary awards the $24,000 scholarships each year to further understanding among people in different countries. James told Todd Moe she started a college Rotary chapter at SLU, and plans to pursue a Master's degree in cultural tourism.
