Jul 24, 2008 — Stop by the park in downtown Oxbow tonight and you'll likely meet Beulah Walrath. Actually, she'll probably introduce herself. Beulah has been the local historian and music promoter in this village on the St. Lawrence and Jefferson County border for years. She organizes the Summer Concert Series. The country and western swing brings out a lot of local folks. Some sit in their cars. Others bring lawn chairs and blankets. And Beulah leads the dancers in front of the village gazebo. Inspires, really. Beulah was crippled in a car accident in 1995. But after years of therapy and a positive attitude, she's back to her favorite hobby. Todd Moe has this audio profile.
