Jun 27, 2002 — U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer this week urged the federal Air Transportation Stabilization Board to approve a 900 million dollar loan to the airline. US Airways showed losses of about 1.4 billion dollars since September 11th, creating what Schumer says is the company's "worst fiscal crisis". Jody Tosti reports.
