Fire destroys building at Adirondack great camp
Feb 27, 2009 — A fire tore through a historic Adirondack Great Camp this week. Up to 75 firefighters were called in to Kamp Kill Kare, near Raquette Lake, to douse the flames in one of the large buildings on the property. The house, closer to the shore of Lake Kora, was not damaged. Jonathan Brown spoke with Ron Ste-Marie, fire chief in the town of Inlet--one of several departments dispatched to the great camp.
