May 19, 2009 — The head of the state ethics commission resigned yesterday, several days after the state inspector general charged him with violating the public officers law in connection with the Troopergate scandal. Meanwhile, Governor David Paterson says he wants to abolish the panel and set up a new one. Karen DeWitt reports.
