Music in the Hills: The Seagle Music Colony
Jul 24, 2002 — For 87 years, the Seagle Music Colony in the eastern Adirondacks has offered talented young singers a secluded summer haven to polish their skills. The seven-week music camp offers intensive training with music theater professionals and opportunities to appear in six Broadway-type productions, from Gershwin to Mozart. For decades, most of the Seagle Colony's shows have been presented in a simple barn theatre tucked away in the wooded hills above Schroon Lake. As Todd Moe reports, it's summer camp for serious opera students.
