Dragonfly devotees swarm for the hunt

Listen to this story
A new display on dragonflies and their close relatives, damselflies, opens this week at the Paul Smiths VIC. The photography exhibit, "Damsels and Dragons - Flying Jewels of New York State" continues through August 1. It includes photos and text by Vici Zaremba and Stephen Diehl of Antwerp. Last summer, Todd Moe followed Vici, Stephen and a group of biologists on a dragonfly trek in Franklin County. The DEC and Nature Conservancy are hoping to foster public interest in the conservation of the colorful, winged insects and their aquatic habitats.
