Earlier this spring, the St Regis Mohawks captured what appeared to be a wolf on their reservation near Massena. The animal caused quite a stir. Tribal members are believed to have illegally set it free, twice, before DNA testing found the animal was part dog. Jonathan Brown spoke with the Mohawk's cultural preservation officer to get a sense of what this animal might mean to members of the tribe.
